PROJECTEDU — 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Addison TreeHouse, 14681 Midway Road in Addison. The DEC and Addison TreeHouse have partnered to present a nine-part educational series for North Texas entrepreneurs. DENTON WWCODE MEETUP — 7 p.m. at Stoke, 608 East Hickory St., Suite 128, in Denton. Bring yourself, a friend, and programming ideas to the newest coworking space in Denton. More about the networking event can be found here


ADULT NIGHT AT LEGOLAND 7 to 9 p.m. at Legoland Discovery Center, 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway, in Grapevine. You can be a kid again at Legoland’s adult night. INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM 1 to 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Dallas, Richardson Hotel, 900 E. Lookout Drive, in Richardson. Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA-DFW Chapter will host a convention themed, “Smart City and Smart Life.” To learn more and see a list of speakers, visit cie-dfw.org.

STOP MOTION ANIMATION — 1 to 3 p.m. at Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St, in Dallas. The museum will host a workshop for ages 13-19 to teach techniques used by filmmakers. STAR WARS MARATHON — Doors open at 3 p.m., screenings begin at 4 p.m. at the Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm St., in Dallas. See the Star Wars movies on the big screen in this marathon. Learn more and purchase tickets here

YOUR GUIDE TO WORDPRESS PLUGINS — 1 to 5 p.m. at Improving, 16633 Dallas Parkway, Suite 100, in Addison. For $12 a person, learn all the ins and outs of WordPress from Tony Cecala, a WordPress Consultant. Find a schedule of events here

REUNION LAWN PARTY — 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at 692 Sports St., in Dallas. This summer event series comes to a close Saturday with its last outdoor bash at the base of the Reunion Tower. Admission is free, but bring money for food trucks, beer garden, and parking. Check out the website for a full music lineup. 


TECH IN MOTION PANEL — 7 p.m. at 211 N. Ervay St., in Dallas. Tech in Motion will present a panel discussion on “Front End Design in an IoT World.” Representatives from Newline Interactive, projekt202, Texas Instruments, and GENBAND will discuss the impact of the internet of things. AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH: THE ART OF COMICS — Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. at the Murchison Performing Arts Center, 2100 North I-35E, Denton, TX. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $35 for students for getting to hear from the creator of AMC’s Comic Book Men, writer, comedian, podcaster, and film director.


CIO/CTO AWARDS — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Coronado Ballroom at Hilton Anatole, 2201 N. Stemmons Freeway, in Dallas. D CEO will honor Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers from area businesses. Tickets are $75. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit the event page.
