Just days before its annual Women in Tech Summit at InnoTech Dallas 2022, the DFW Alliance of Technology and Women has announced new board members in what’s shaping up to be an impactful 20th anniversary year for the organization.

New board president is an advisor at SoftwareONE

Webb-Williams, the new board president, is a software portfolio adviser at global IT consulting and services company SoftwareONE, which is headquartered in Switzerland and has offices in Uptown Dallas. She previously held posts at DISYS, Amdocs, Genesis PURE, and Cisco, and has been an executive committee member of Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals.

She succeeds award-winning entrepreneur Shanthi Rajaram as DFW*ATW’s president. Webb-Williams previously served as the nonprofit’s vice president for the past year, and as its director of programs from 2017 to 2020. The organization says she “has been instrumental in elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion in membership and programs through intentional representation and education in meetings and event programming.”

“I’m truly honored to step into this new role,” Webb-Williams said in a statement. “DFW*ATW has been instrumental in my growth as a leader and in my professional network over the past six years. I’m looking forward to carrying the mantle forward from the extraordinary women who have served in this capacity over the past 20 years.”

The new president thanked outgoing president Rajaram, saying, “She led the organization with vision and passion, and tirelessly gave her time and resources to the betterment of women and girls throughout the community. Her contributions will be felt for years to come.”

Barry Shurkey, chair of the DFW*ATW Advisory Council, looked both to the past and future with today’s announcements.

I am so proud of what DFW*ATW has accomplished over the past 20 years, and I am very confident this new board of directors will take us even farther in the next 20 years for women in IT,” Shurkey said in the statement.
