Inventor(s): David Liu (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): Siemens Healthcare GmbH (Erlangen, , DE)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 16509981 on 07/12/2019 (928 days app to issue)

Abstract: A method of visualizing spinal nerves includes receiving a 3D image volume depicting a spinal cord and a plurality of spinal nerves. For each spinal nerve, a 2D spinal nerve image is generated by defining a surface within the 3D volume comprising the spinal nerve. The surface is curved such that it passes through the spinal cord while encompassing the spinal nerve. Then, the 2D spinal nerve images are generated based on voxels on the surface included in the 3D volume. A visualization of the 2D spinal images is presented in a graphical user interface that allows each 2D spinal image to be viewed simultaneously.

Scrubbing fluid and methods for using same
Patent No. 11229875

Inventor(s): Brett Christopher Roberts (Little Elm, TX)
Assignee(s): INEOS AMERICAS, LLC (Mobile, AL)
Law Firm: Roy Kiesel Ford Doody North, APLC (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 17033044 on 09/25/2020 (487 days app to issue)

Abstract: A scrubbing solution for removing contaminants, including particularly hydrogen sulfide, from a fluid. The scrubbing solution includes at least one scrubbing reagent which has a primary or secondary amine and an acid, which may be phosphoric acid. The fluid being scrubbed is passed through the scrubbing solution. The contaminants react with the scrubbing reagent securing them in the scrubbing solution. The fluid being scrubbed and the scrubbing solution are then separated. The scrubbing solution is heated and, if the scrubbing solution is under pressure, the pressure is reduced. The acid facilitates thorough removal of the contaminants, and especially the hydrogen sulfide, from the scrubbing solution. The scrubbing solution is then ready for reuse. Because the scrubbing solution is rendered substantially free of hydrogen sulfides, it can absorb other sulfide contaminants that might not otherwise be absorbed.

Method for performing delamination of a polymer film
Patent No. 11230036

Inventor(s): Kurt A. Schroder (Coupland, TX), Rob Jacob Hendriks (Eindhoven, , NL)
Assignee(s): NCC NANO, LLC (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: Russell Ng PLLC (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16307435 on 06/06/2016 (2059 days app to issue)

Abstract: A method and apparatus for delaminating a polymer film from a carrier plate is disclosed. The carrier plate is at least partially transparent and has deposited on it a pixelated pattern layer of light-absorptive material, upon which is deposited a layer of light-reflective material. A polymer film, which is to be delaminated, is deposited on the light-reflecting material layer. Next, a pulsed light source is utilized to irradiate through the carrier plate from the side opposite the polymer film to heat the light-absorptive material layer. The heated areas of the light-absorptive material layer, in turn, heat the polymer film through conduction at the interface between the light-absorptive material layer and the polymer film, thereby generating gas from the polymer film by its thermal decomposition, which allows the polymer film to be released from the carrier plate.

The first simulation may include: determining a hexahedral mesh of the part that includes a plurality of hexahedron elements; determining an order of the elements of the mesh to deposit for additively producing the part based on the first set of tool paths; and simulating an incremental deposit of each of the elements of the mesh in the order that the elements are determined to be deposited. For each incremental deposit of an additional respective element, thermal characteristics and structural deformation characteristics of the deposited elements are determined, in which some elements have a change in volume to account for a structural deformation of previously deposited adjacent elements.

Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 16420447 on 05/23/2019 (978 days app to issue)

Abstract: Software instructions are executed on a processor within a computer system to configure a steaming engine with stream parameters to define a multidimensional array. The stream parameters define a size for each dimension of the multidimensional array and a specified width for a selected dimension of the array. Data is fetched from a memory coupled to the streaming engine responsive to the stream parameters. A stream of vectors is formed for the multidimensional array responsive to the stream parameters from the data fetched from memory. When the selected dimension in the stream of vectors exceeds the specified width, the streaming engine inserts null elements into each portion of a respective vector for the selected dimension that exceeds the specified width in the stream of vectors. Stream vectors that are completely null are formed by the streaming engine without accessing the system memory for respective data.

Signal strength prediction based on line of sight analysis
Patent No. 11233593

Inventor(s): Zhen Wan (Plano, TX)
Assignee(s): ATT Intellectual Property I, L.P. (Atlanta, GA), ATT Mobility II LLC (Atlanta, GA)
Law Firm: Amin, Turocy Watson, LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16216539 on 12/11/2018 (1141 days app to issue)

Abstract: Architectures and techniques are presented that can provide point-to-point analysis to generate an improved signal strength prediction (SSP) based on, e.g., earth surface image data processing and analysis to draw conclusions of line of sight (LOS) along the propagation path between a BTS or another AP transmitter and CPE receiver. For exampleGS image data and/or elevation data of locations are identified to correspond to signal propagation between the transmitter and receiver can be analyzed for LOS signal quality at a fixed location, in addition to the statistical model prediction of the RF signal quality. As a result, foliage or terrain that obstructs the LOS can be identified and utilized to improve SSP by eliminating the additional pathloss due to LOS obstructions. Such can provide a significant improvement to SSP results that are conventionally predicted by statistical models rather than a point-to-point analysis.
